My name's Ben Barton, and here's a little about me...

Having been introduced to music and movies at a young age by my older brother, I always had an interest in media and technology growing up. Towards the end of high school I began playing around with midi software and started making instrumental beats. It wasn't long until I began acquiring some gear and started recording emcees in my mom's closet.

In 2011, I moved to London Ontario to attend Fanshawe College's esteemed Music Industry Arts and Audio Post Production programs. My time at Fanshawe was an awesome experience; I was mentored by an amazing faculty in world class studios using state of the art equipment. It was during school that I really gained an appreciation for sound as an art as well as a science. Throughout my final year I began working with the film program on their projects and discovered a whole new realm of sound outside of the studio: the film set.

Since my return home to the GTA I've been steadily working on a wide array of projects: capturing location audio for Toronto's independent film scene, editing, mixing and sound designing from my home studio, as well as recording musicians whenever I get a chance. In my spare time, which can be hard to come by these days, I still enjoy working on my own musical projects.

No matter how simple or complex a project might be, I'm always willing to take the time to work with my clients and ensure the end result sounds amazing.
